Juni Handpainted Bags
I've been working on a new collection of bags with fellow textile artist Kamila Otcasek. We've hand-painted canvas to create a range of bags that are all one-of-a-kind. They come in 3 sizes, with leather straps and multiple pockets. More info about where to buy on our Instagram feed @junibk or visit junibk.com

0 CommentsOur Collaboration With Threadbare Supply Company.
Recently I got together with fellow Brooklyn accessory designer, Threadbare Supply Co to a create new take on the Flirty Tie. Check out the results - the Slouchy Bow Necklace, its a bow-tie and a necklace rolled into one! We have it in three colors; Caramel, Soft Pink and Mini Leopard Print. You can find them at Threadbare Supply Company or in here in the Goodship shop.
0 CommentsThe Flirty Tie

Our new accessory, a snap-on bow, was inspired by 70's fashion icons, Faye Dunaway, Diane Keaton and Lauren Hutton, who mixed feminine and masculine looks with seemingly effortless panache. Our ties are crafted from silk crepe de Chine for maximum drape-ability. Style them to wear buttoned-up or loosened down. Mix color and print and get flirty.

One More Reason to Buy American-made
After reading the New York Times article about elevated levels of lead found in many reusable shopping bags, particularly those made in China, we want to remind folks that buying US-made is often the safer bet, and when it comes to shopping totes, you can't beat canvas.
We produce our bags locally in small batches - that way we keep a close eye on the entire production process, as well as provide work to skilled artisans in our community.
It's disappointing when incidents like this undermine all the efforts you are making to do the right thing, but don't stop trying. Buy handmade, organic and local whenever you have a choice. The extra expense is worth it for a trustworthy product.
